Video streaming on Android - Installing Flash Player
Most of the smartphones and tablets running Android have enough power to (CPU, memory) to play videos in streaming mode. When connected to a Wi-Fi network, you can stream an unlimited number of videos for free. However, video streaming over mobile data (3G/4G) is a rapidly deplete your package . A video can generate between 5 and 50 MB of data transfer, thus a 3GB mobile package gives you the ability to watch between 60 and 600 videos per month.
The Chrome browser allows you to view videos on HTML 5 based streaming platforms. Before streaming videos Flash Player based platforms you will still make some adjustments:
Installing Flash Player on Android:
As from Android Jelly Bean (versions 4.1 to 4.3), Adobe no longer offers support for Flash Player.
To install Flash, perform these operations:
- Go to Settings then in the Security section.
- Check "Unknown sources".
- If you have Android 4.4 KitKat, download:https://www.dropbox.com/s/48engz1qvnujzq5/KitKat.Adobe.Flash.Player.11.1-1.apk
- If you have Android Jelly Bean 4.3, download: http://d-h.st/Lkm
- Once you have downloaded the correct version of Flash, select and install it.
- Now that Flash is installed, you will need to find a compatible Web browser! In fact, Chrome won't allow the use Flash. The simplest solution is to use the Dolphin Browser.
