Sign in to Yahoo services with your Facebook or Google ID

Since last October, Yahoo offers the ability to authenticate to Flickr using an identifier of Google . It seems that this strategy works well. Yahoo extends this experience to many of its services. 

You no longer need to open a Yahoo account to use Flickr, post a comment on Yahoo News and play on Yahoo Games. You can just use your Google ID to authenticate or Facebook. 


Like Facebook and Google are already major suppliers of OpenID with hundreds of millions of active members. In my opinion this operation can only be good for Yahoo. This decision could probably help services like Flickr may have filled up with users of Yahoo.
